Understanding energy bills can be overwhelming. I walk you through every part of your PG&E bill, showing you how solar can reduce your costs and identifying areas for improvement. My goal is to ensure you have a clear picture of your energy use before we start planning your solar system.
With Vonnegut Electric & Solar, you get full transparency in every step. I provide a Google Sheet tracking each component of your project, from solar panels to mounting materials, with exact contractor pricing. This gives you control over your investment and peace of mind knowing there are no hidden costs.
As a one-man operation focused on DIY clients, I work side-by-side with you (or a family member or friend) to bring your solar project to life. We’ll install everything together, from panels to inverters, making it a rewarding, hands-on experience. My role is to guide, teach, and ensure everything is done right, with you as a partner every step of the way.
Once the installation is complete, I assist you in navigating the permit approval process, ensuring everything meets local codes and regulations. After approval, I’ll also handle the interconnection agreement with PG&E, making sure your system is set up to send excess energy back to the grid. This step is crucial for maximizing your energy savings.
Our relationship doesn’t end with installation. I offer a free 3-month follow-up consultation to assess the system’s performance and ensure it’s meeting your expectations. Additionally, we’ll schedule a 12-month “true-up” review to go over your PG&E bill and identify any tweaks or expansions that could improve efficiency and maximize savings.
I believe in a transparent, client-driven approach to pricing. My labor cost starts at a minimum of $500, and once the project is complete, you decide my fee based on the value you feel I’ve provided. This flexible pricing structure empowers you to get the most from your investment.
